Microsoft Outlook
At Microsoft, I worked on design systems and product design for Outlook across platforms. I helped build and ship the Fluent design system, redesigned key surfaces, and contributed to the open-source icon system.
Dark Mode
Designed Fluent Dark Mode — the unified dark theme system adopted across every Microsoft 365 mobile app, from Outlook and Teams to OneDrive, SharePoint, Word and Excel. Defined the surface elevation model, gray palette, and color contrast rules that became the foundation for dark mode across iOS, Android and Mac.
Fluent Icons
Created Fluent System Icons — Microsoft's open-source icon library with over 500 icons built for every platform. Designed a mobile-first system with regular and filled themes, systematic sizing across 4 densities, and literal metaphor-based naming. The library shipped across Office, Outlook, Teams, Xbox and Windows and is open-source on GitHub.
Surface Duo
Designed the Outlook experience for Surface Duo — Microsoft's dual-screen Android device. Systematically optimized email, calendar, and multitasking layouts to leverage both screens with adaptive interaction patterns and responsive composition.
